FinOps consulting for Indian companies.
Cloud spend that engineering, finance and product agree on.

FinOps fails when finance owns it (engineers ignore the spreadsheets) or when engineering owns it (finance never sees the numbers). We set up FinOps as a shared practice — one source of truth, monthly reviews everyone attends, unit economics nobody argues about.

// WHAT WE DELIVER

Concrete deliverables for India (remote) clients.

  • Cost data pipeline — AWS CUR / Azure Exports / GCP BigQuery billing → unified data model
  • Showback / chargeback by team, product, environment, customer
  • Unit economics dashboards — cost per active user, cost per inference, cost per transaction
  • RI / Savings Plan / Committed Use Discount portfolio strategy + monthly true-up
  • Cost anomaly detection — Slack alerts when daily spend deviates >20% from baseline
  • Idle resource sweep automation — weekly auto-stop of non-prod, with engineering escape hatch
  • Monthly business review (MBR) facilitation between engineering and finance
  • Tag policy + enforcement (Service Control Policies, Azure Policy, GCP Org Policy)
// WHY INDIA (REMOTE)

Local context, not boilerplate.

FinOps in India is at the same stage US FinOps was in 2018 — most teams have heard of it, almost nobody has implemented it correctly. The result is that cloud bills grow 50–80% YoY without anyone noticing because there's no per-product unit economics view.

For India-based SaaS companies billing in USD/EUR but spending cloud in INR, FinOps also doubles as gross-margin optimisation. We've helped clients improve software gross margin from ~58% to ~74% in one quarter — almost all of it by killing untagged dev infra and moving inference to spot.

We use a vendor-neutral approach (no kickbacks from FinOps SaaS). Sometimes the right answer is a $0 setup with AWS CUR + Athena + QuickSight; sometimes it's CloudHealth or Vantage or Apptio Cloudability. We pick what fits, then implement.

// LOCAL FAQ

Questions India (remote) clients ask first.

Do we need a FinOps tool like CloudHealth or Vantage?
Not always. For most India SMEs spending under $50K/month on cloud, AWS CUR + Athena + QuickSight (or GCP BQ + Looker Studio) is enough — we build the dashboards. Above $50K/month or multi-cloud, paid tools (Vantage, Cloudability) start paying for themselves.
Do you negotiate Enterprise Discount Programs (EDP) with AWS?
We help you prepare for the negotiation — usage forecast, commit modelling, alternate-cloud leverage analysis. We do not represent you in the call (your CFO/CTO should). Most Indian SMEs hit the EDP threshold faster than they realise.
How does showback / chargeback work in India?
Showback (visibility, no internal billing) is what 90% of India teams should start with. Chargeback (real internal billing between cost centres) only makes sense for orgs with formal product P&Ls — usually 200+ engineers.
How long does FinOps take to show ROI?
Quick wins (RI/SP buys, idle sweep, untagged cleanup) typically hit in week 4–6 and pay back the engagement in month 2. Structural ROI (unit economics, monthly cadence, spend culture) takes 6 months.
